Class Description

Family crafting is encouraged, however this session of Weekend Workshop is intended for ages 12+, as we will be using slightly sharp tools to carve our print plates. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. October Workshop: Halloween Linocut Printmaking **CLASS RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 24th** Get into the spooky spirit with linocut printmaking! During this guided class, you’ll learn the basics of carving and printing while creating your own Halloween-inspired designs. Each participant will receive a 4x6 linocut block, carving tools, black ink, access to our printing press, and up to four pieces of 5x7 deckled edge paper for printing. You can carve one larger design or create several smaller blocks to mix and match your prints. Want to take your spooky creations beyond paper? Bring along a clothing item or canvas bag to try printing on, or take your block home and keep experimenting!
