Hi y'all! I'm Denise, your friendly art teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience. I'm all about the integrated model of teaching, where we blend art with subjects like math, science, and history. It's like a colorful tapestry of learning, boosting comprehension skills and letting visual learners shine. Teaching art to kids has always been my passion. There's nothing quite like seeing those lightbulb moments when students discover their artistic talents and gain confidence. To me, teaching art is about connecting the dots between art and the world around us, making learning more exciting and meaningful.

Howdy, art enthusiasts! As the daughter of the duo, I am excited to be teaching alongside my mom (she's the best teacher I know). With over 8 years of professional experience in graphic design and 5 years of teaching art to kids and adults, I'm thrilled to share my passion for creating with aspiring young artists. I'm a firm believer in showcasing art as a viable career option for kids, and I'm here to spark your imagination and help you unleash your artistic potential. I can't wait to see what masterpieces we'll create together!
CLASSROOM PHILOSOPHY
At The Art Studio, we believe every child (and adult!) is competent, capable, and full of potential. We choose not to group classes solely by age or skill level, as we believe in the power of peer teaching and collaboration. By creating a mixed-level environment, students learn from one another, fostering a sense of community and respect for diverse perspectives.
