Class Description

**CLASS WILL BEGIN OCTOBER 9TH, WE WILL NOT HAVE CLASS ON THE 2ND!!** OCTOBER PROJECT FOCUS: Mixed Media Sculpture / Animal Portraits This month, students will explore portraiture and mixed media as they create an animal portrait that combines 2D drawing with 3D sculpture. Over the course of four classes, students will develop their animal through drawing, shape, texture, and form before bringing all of these elements together into a finished mixed media sculpture. For our final class during Halloween week, students are encouraged to come dressed as the animal they created! TIME: Every Friday, 10:30AM-11:30AM COST: $40 ($10 per session) - Sibling Discount: $32 ($8 per session) for additional children enrolled. ___________________________________________________________________________ These 1 hour sessions cover a wide variety of art, including hand-built pottery (clay), printmaking, painting, drawing, and more! Each class follows an interdisciplinary lesson plan based on homeschool curriculum. These lessons build on eachother, allowing for skill development over time. This is a DROP-OFF session. Parents are only permitted to join us for class on a pre-approved basis. If you would like to stay with your child during class, please reach out to us prior to arriving for class. **REGISTRATION IS BY THE MONTH** If you are unable to attend two or more sessions in a month, we advise waiting for the next month to enroll, as projects often take more than one class to complete. We do not offer partial enrollment or partial refunds if you miss a class, but we will do our best to catch your child up on what they missed.
