Class Description

TIME: Every Wednesday, 3PM-4PM COST: $40 ($10 per session) These 1 hour sessions cover a wide variety of art, including handbuilt pottery (clay), printmaking, painting, drawing, and more! Each class follows an interdisciplinary lesson plan based on homeschool curriculum. These lessons build on eachother, allowing for skill development over time. PROJECT FOCUS: This month, we’ll continue exploring the Elements of Design with a focus on balance. Students will play with different ways to create visual balance through a fun 20-box design challenge. Our main project will be building large-scale hanging mobiles inspired by artist Alexander Calder. This hands-on, STEM-friendly project gets students thinking creatively and logically as they design sculptures that look balanced and actually balance using a bit of physics as they hang and move. ___________________________________________________________________________ This is a DROP-OFF session. Parents are only permitted to join us for class on a pre-approved basis. If you would like to stay with your child during class, please reach out to us prior to arriving for class. **REGISTRATION IS BY THE MONTH** If you are unable to attend two or more sessions in a month, we advise waiting for the next month to enroll, as projects often take more than one class to complete. We do not offer partial enrollment or partial refunds if you miss a class, but we will do our best to catch your child up on what they missed.
